In John 14 Jesus said: “Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so I would not have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
This is the hope of the church today. I believe that God will take care of His people as He did when Israel was in Egypt. The land of Goshen was the safest place in all of Egypt. When there was darkness in Egypt there was no darkness in Goshen. Plagues covered Egypt, but none fell on Goshen. I believe that God will take care of his people wherever they are. No wrath will come near you. So, let not your hearts be troubled. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. He promised to take care of His own.
This month we will celebrate thanksgiving. There will be so much food eaten all over the country. The leftovers could feed all Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt. We are a blessed nation. In spite of all that is happening around us, we can still praise the Lord for the United States of America.
But, the signs of the times point out troubled and difficult days ahead, not just for America but for the world. As the church, we must take our responsibility seriously to bring the Good News of the Gospel to the nations with the power of the Holy Spirit. That will give the greatest miracle to whoever wishes it; Eternal Life.
With your help, my partners, we are doing just that.
