“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.”  - 2 Cor. 4:7

Paul understood the reason for his success in the ministry. It was not by his power, but by the power of God. Paul was only an earthen vessel. He must have surely known what Jesus was saying in John 14:12: “He that believeth on me the works that I do he will do also, and greater works!”

Yes it was God, the Holy Spirit, that was the treasure in Paul. The Holy Spirit was the match for the power of the enemy. The early apostles went everywhere preaching and had great success. The world dubbed them; the men who turned the world upside down. Christianity spread all over the world and changed governments and nations.

This same power is available to the church today. But, sadly we are falling short of our potential. Thank God for those who still believe and exercise through faith what Jesus said in John 14:12!

These lost gifts will be restored and manifested in faithful men and women in the last revival before the Lord returns to take His bride. Men and women around the world who dare to declare not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of God will the enemy be defeated. Without faith it is impossible to please God. That is why every one of us has been given a measure of faith. We need to use this faith to experience what the early church experienced!

Thank you Lord for your power! Help me to be obedient to your word and declare it in faith as you confirm it!

The world we live in is no longer safe.  The news we hear every day makes us very afraid. It seems we cannot stop radical countries like North Korea, Iran or any other nation from developing weapons of destruction. We also witness terrorism on our very shores.

We as Christians are living in this world, and yet we are not of this world. We are looking to our future world where true peace will reign.  When the lamb and the lion will lie together, and there will be no more war. Until this comes to pass, we need to be diligent and good ambassadors of the Kingdom of God.

I leave to Beirut, Lebanon and Cyprus on April 11. This will be my third crusade in Lebanon, where I will spend seven days. I am sure I will have much to share with you in my next letter.

The population of Lebanon is only 4 million people, and now they are forced to accommodate half a million Syrian refugees. Lebanon is under pressure as the only Arab democracy because of the grip religion has on the government. According to  their constitution, the president must be a Maronite Catholic, the prime minister a Sunni Muslim and the speaker of the house a Shiite Muslim. Prior to 1982 the President had veto power over the prime minister and the speaker of the house. This is no longer true.  The power is now shared by the three of them, which leaves the country divided by religion.

Some were concerned about my safety on this trip. But, God will take care of me as He always does.  Someone asked me if I had a body guard to travel with me. I answered that I had twelve angels with me and the prayers of my partners. We will be rejoicing when we reign with Christ in the New Jerusalem. Life will be as it should have been before the fall of Adam, and because of God's love of man.
