When the Lord speaks about himself, His word invokes a special response in the hearts of believers. Jehovah himself will keep a watch on His vineyard, and will not turn it over to any human. He will take care of it and make it His responsibility. Can the Lord do what He promised to do? We will be watered, not only daily and every hour, but every second. The Lord then expects us to grow and bring forth much fruit. O how rich and heavy the clusters of grapes on the vines will be!
Yet the enemies of the vineyard will not stay quiet, the small foxes, wild pigs and others. And so, God himself will protect the vineyard - every hour, day and night. Who can hurt us? Of whom shall we be afraid? The Lord will water, the Lord will keep, the Lord will guard and He will take care of the overseers. What more do we need?
Again, He repeats: ‘I will keep it’. What a glorious repetition! What a great confidence that we see in the heavenly speaker! Jehovah. Who can challenge His will? When He says I will do it, will there be any room for doubt of these powerful heavenly words? We can face the evil powers of death and hell.
My Lord, as long as You say , I the Lord am the keeper, my response to you will always be with the songs of praise!
