The Youth

3/15/2010

Jeremiah 1:6 - Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

When Jeremiah was young he was sent on a great mission by the Lord. But the One that sent him did not allow him to say, "I am young". Jeremiah should not look on himself, and his youth but he should hide his weakness behind his great mission. He should not involve his own reasoning and invent his own message, nor choose the people that he will speak to. But he should speak only what the Lord orders him to speak. Only telling the truth to the people that he is sent to. Then he will be endued with power greater than his own ability. This should be the same for today’s missionaries, pastors and evangelist. Those that trust in their own words and their own message.

God knows how young and inexperienced you are and the level of your knowledge. But, if He chooses to send you, you should not refuse to fulfill the heavenly call. God will glorify His strength in your weakness. Even if you are old and at retirement age or over, do it! This will inspire your wisdom. But if you don’t take the message that is given to you, even if you have the wisdom of Solomon, you will not reap the results of your wisdom. But if you do, you will have all the wisdom to follow the footsteps of your commander and chief. Then you will experience prosperity and victory.

Food For Thought - Love Thy Enemy

3/1/2010

We have a saying in the Middle East - Have one thousand enemies outside your home but not one inside your home. The Good Old’ U.S.A. is the land of the free and the home of the brave. America’s gates have been  opened to the world. I recall when I arrived in this country in November 1952 I fell in love with America. I automatically integrated into the American way of life. I became an American by choice. I was amazed when I saw that America has always fought her enemies on Foreign soil and not on U.S. soil. Thousands have come through these gates and they love this country. By choice they integrated into the American way of life and became true citizens. Yet it is sad to say that others that have entered these gates, enjoy our freedom, but have hate and want to change what made America great, strong and blessed of the Lord. Many of these people are now occupying sensitive government positions. They have the authority to change what made America strong and a blessing to the whole world.

Yes, we are fighting the enemy in two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan. But it is more dangerous when the enemy is on U.S. soil. I believe God can change the enemies that are outside and inside this country. The Church is the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We the Church need to rise with prayer and fasting, bearing in mind that Daniel was alone when he prayed and fasted for his people. We need to pray that God will bring the enemy of America to the foot of the cross, and that God will raise men and women like the founders of this nation to take positions in these sensitive areas of government. To lead this nation as the early fathers did, so that we can remain living safely in our beloved America. The land of the free and the home of the brave. Thank you for taking the matter seriously. Also, thank you my partners for being a part of this ministry. The gospel we preach has changed many of these people.
