To satisfy the desires of our hearts and for the sake of those around us, we need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. What joy we receive when we are prosperous fishers of men for Him!
Sadly, we often try methods and ways that are not His ways. Will we submit to the ideas of the enemy? If we do, we may throw our nets here and there and stir up the waves, but it will be for nothing and we will never catch fish. We must follow Jesus if we want to be successful fishermen!
It is not the polished speeches, or the social activities that brings men to Jesus. Jesus did not use any of these to gather the crowds around Him. We need to preach as our Lord did. If we do, souls will be saved as we preach the full gospel message with the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.
We should declare the grace of God, His unconditional love and forgiveness of sins and the sinner’s acceptance of this gift by faith for the forgiveness of his sins. This will be the net with which we catch and gather souls!
We must work under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, depend on Him, do not go ahead of Him or walk next to him, but follow in his footsteps as He commanded. It is then that we will fulfill His promise to be fishers of men!
