“A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.”
Isaiah 60:22

Your work in the Lord’s vineyard may start with a small beginning, but the Lord will not reject it because it is small. Weakness teaches us faith and causes us to get closer to God and He will receive greater glory.

The reward is decided by the increase. The mustard seed is the smallest of the seeds, but it becomes a large tree, in which the fowls of the heaven find shelter in its branches. The great Lord will multiply the loaves and fishes in His hand.

In this verse He says to His servant, “I will make you a great nation.” He was talking to one person. Put your trust in Him. Even if you are one or two. Remember the Lord is in your midst when you meet in His name. A small one - is there anything less than this? Those who count the number of heads and respect power may despise you, but this small one becomes a great nation. At first only one star appears in heaven, but soon the heavens will be filled with thousands of lights.

We need not to work to hasten this increase because the promise is before us. The Lord will hasten it in His time. We do not need to focus on the number, as we see in some of the emotional church gatherings where people are not mature. But, rather we need to focus on the maturity of those present. The increase will happen in His time and there will not be any delay.
