Food For Though - November 2009
BY Dr. Elias Malki
I cannot ignore what I see. I am often compelled to get involved and tell the truth no matter what the cost. Many books have been written lately about Islam - not about the Muslims, but about Islam. I have read some of these books. These authors are exposing the teaching of Islam in hopes of turning people’s attention to the truth. It is true that Islam and it’s prophet have a plan to conquer the world. It is true that force is used on those who do not accept Islam - some loose their lives and some convert. I am reading a book about that called Behind the Veil. The author refers to the writing of Muslim historians to describe the character of the prophet of Islam. The author is just drawing our attention to history. I am sure some of those who read it will make their own decision about what Islam truly is.
We as Christians also want to take our message, the gospel, to the ends of the earth. But, the difference is we are not a military power. Islam uses their physical strength and power to take over nations and subdue them to the teaching of their prophet. I believe this happened because the Church lost God’s power. The true Church is the answer. We need to go back to the book of Acts when a whole nation became Christian because of the power of God demonstrated through miracles, signs and wonders.
God has used me in signs and wonders on television since 1982 and also wherever I travel for ministry. We are seeing and hearing the results. When the power of God is manifested, people respond. So Church, we need a renewal in the Holy Ghost, as did the Apostles in Jerusalem. The place were they were was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. No power can stand against the Holy Spirit. We need His power to bring the good news to those who were chosen to believe before the foundation of the world. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) That is why I am determined to continue bringing the good news of God’s kingdom on satellite television right to the living rooms of millions of people. The battle is not over.
