The change that is taking place in the world today, especially in our beloved America, is getting many Christians excited. They don’t know what to do. Some are trying to do something about these changes, but obviously it takes more than their strength and they get frustrated. Others believe that God is in charge and so they just keep preaching the gospel as Jesus commissioned us to do. I belong in the last group. I believe God is in charge and we must keep occupying and believe that the gospel will finally reach the last man and woman. That will fulfill the words of Jesus, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come,” (Matt 24:14).

Some Christians are buying books on prophecy, trying to find some answers to their questions. That reminds me of the Apostles when they asked Jesus is Acts 1:6, “. . Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” The Lord answered and said, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth,” (v 7-8). Since then, the true church has been doing this and I don’t see any need to do anything different. I find comfort in the Scripture that says, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh,” (Luke 21:28).

Satan wants to be in control like God. Satan is the counterfeit. Now people are talking about the global unity of the world under one individual, whom the Bible calls, the Antichrist. He has not been revealed yet, but he will be. The whole world is preparing for him. We cannot be ignorant, but we must recognize what is happening in Europe and America. They are aiming for a one world government and will be very proud to achieve it. Satan himself and the spirit of antichrist are behind this.

How close are we to that day? No man knows. These signs are a warning to us to occupy and be ready every day. I will not go into details about certain things in the political arena because I am sure you are hearing the news. It seems like evil is gaining ground. I encourage you to read Daniel 7 & 8, Matthew 24 and II Thessalonians 2. In II Thessalonians 2 the Bible says, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work . . .” (v 7).

Then in verse 8 it says the Antichrist will be revealed when the Holy Spirit and the Church are taken away. The Antichrist will do signs and lying wonders (v 9). Many will be deceived, but remember, the final round of this fight will be a knockout to the enemy by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ. So look up. Be diligent and active, for your redemption is drawing nigh.
